Maybe I'll get lucky and meet a parent who has a kid thats very much into Warhammer etc. The Spearhead tank battle expansion, the original 5th Ed rules for Stormtalon and Ork Bombers/Fighters, plenty of scenarios for all three core systems, a couple of Apocalypse formations IIRC. In that case, if I sold them for 50p each, with a conditional offer of £20 for the entire collection would that have any chance of selling? Really, after having flicked through my collection I think it would be a good offer.įor the price of 4 crappy 2013 era WD issues (post glossy catalogue redesign), you'd get 5 years worth of content - battle reports, tactica's, painting guides, terrain articles (there are a few good articles in my collection based on the Citadel terrain kits, Cities of Death in particular, that might actually be of interest to people who use those kits).
#White dwarf magazine collection update
Last update was at 7 20:48:59Īt most UK convention bring & buy stalls, WD's go for between £0.50 and £1 each I could sell them individually for £1, or the entire collection for £20 - £30. WD322 (Oct 2006) - the issue with Andrew and Nicola Taylor's fantastic fully converted Adeptus Custodes army. Wargames Illustrated is my magazine of choice now. After that issue, the amount of actual hobby content drops off dramatically. The rough cut off point for which issues I want to keep and the ones I want to ditch is ~WD300. I stopped buying regularly about 3 years ago, and IIRC have only bought 3 issues since then. Would people still want this issue for the rules or will they just not care now that 6th Ed is out?Įdit.by recent, I mean issues from around 2005 - 2010. That would be quite a lot cheaper than buying them all individually at £2 each.Īlso, I have a copy of WD390, the "Aerial Assault" issue with the 5th Ed rules for the Storm Talon and Ork Bombas/Jets. I'm still counting how many issues I have, but I'm thinking if I set them at £2 each, I could also offer a flat price of say £20 if someone buys the entire collection.

How much do you think people would be willing to pay for the more recent White Dwarf issues? £1? £2? So I'm keeping the older issues that have lots of tutorials and articles on cheap scratch built terrain as these are actually more useful to me (being someone who dislikes the horrible homogoneity of GW terrain these days and who prefers the visual variety, originality and cost effectiveness of scratch built terrain).

The issues that I'm looking to sell are some of the more recent ones from when GW began to massively expand its Citadel terrain ranges with lots of plastic kits, and the ethos of White Dwarf shifted focus from being a hobby magazine with emphasis on tutorials for scratch building terrain and model conversions to a magazine very heavily focused on advertising and pushing sales of GW's own terrain kits. I have about 5 years worth of White Dwarf issues that I don't use anymore so I figure I might as sell them off, but what price would you advise? I'm going to a Wargame Convention next weekend and will have an opportunity to sell some of my things at the flea market.
