It wasn’t until The Sims 4 that we started seeing new types of packs (game packs, kits) besides the traditional expansion and stuff packs. In the beginning, we only had expansions. The Sims had no official stuff packs, as these were introduced in The Sims 2. There were also numerous other expansion pack bundles released over the years that contained between one and three expansions each (and no exclusive content). This was the last edition released for The Sims. Just like it sounds, this compilation includes The Sims base game and ALL expansion packs. Livin’ Large was called “Livin’ it Up,” and Vacation was called “On Holiday.” The Sims: Ultimate Collection This edition was only available in Europe and the expansion pack names were slightly different.

The Sims was released for Windows on February 4, 2000. Anyways, just wanted to let you know that it works and that your problem may be something completely unrelated.This is a list of all The Sims (or The Sims 1 as we often call it these days) expansion packs – listed in order. I have never had any problems with this setup and I know I'm not the only player who does not use the default installation location. The game and expansion were installed in the order they were released, that is, TS2, Uni, NL, and finally OFB. I just change the name of the directory to "The Sims 2" when I want to play that set. I have the game installed on my E: drive (with each expansion in it's own directory - The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Unversity, The Sims 2 Nightlife, The Sims 2 Open for Business) and the game content is installed in my "My Documents" directory which resides on my H: drive where I have more than one "The Sims 2" directory (with different names) - one only contains my new objects for testing, one contains only my medieval objects and skins, one contains everything else, etc.
I just wanted to add that although it might be best for your system to have everything installed on the same drive, it doesn't have to be. PS: It's NOT the same as only moving the folder! If you do it this way the system knows about it and recognize that place for all the proggies that have to use it! There should be a button called "Move." - press it and choose the place where you want them to be saved - i always put them to my second harddriveįrom now on it will take up only place on your second harddrive what is great if you have limited place on your systemdrive. Look on your desktop - if you see the folder named "My Documents" on your desktop, turn on with step 2. If you want your custom content not to "block" space on your system-harddrive you can do it easily: The other has all the configuration info and it is located in my documents, wich is always located at the root drive.
